Disneyland 08

Hi All,

Hope everyone had a great turkey day! We had lots of food, fun and great times with the family. Then we took the kids to Disneyland for a few days and they LOVED LOVED LOVED it! Kainoa has never been so he was having the time of his life. Jayden has been before but I'm not sure how long ago it was so things seemed pretty new to him too. They both loved all the Christmas lights and seeing Mickey and Minnie. Kainoa was not really into the 3D movies because they were a little frightening with all the bugs jumping out at him. Jayden rolled w/ the punches though and "blocked" the bugs/objects as they came his way. It was pretty funny to watch the kids react. We did Disneyland without the double stroller and the boys were troopers all night!! I thought for sure Kainoa was going to make a mad dash at one time or another but he held on to our hands the entire time. We had park hopper passes so we started our day at California Adventure and then around 1pm we took the kids back to the hotel for a much needed nap. The kids actually didn't even fight us to lay down...they went down willingly and we even had to wake them up. So around 4pm we headed back to Disneyland and needless to say after a long day we went back to the hotel around 10pm. The kids were out before we left the parking lot. Overall Disneyland was so much fun and lots of great memories. Here are a few pictures from our trip. Hope you're all doing well! Count down to Christmas begins...NOW!

Partying with the Davis boys...

Hi All!

Last week we went to a birthday party for our friend Isaiah and he turned a big 4 years old! The kids enjoyed the pinata and the jump house...yahoooo!!! Kainoa and Jayden took a few swings at the truck pinata but didn't do enough damage to break it open. Oh well...maybe next year. So here are a few pictures of the kids enjoying themselves at the party w/ the other kids, candy and of course cake! Yummy for the tummy!

You'll also notice Kainoa's new favorite thing...his hat! Kainoa has always liked wearing hats and the other day we were at the store and he insisted that I buy him a new hat. So typical Kainoa style he's sporting his cool hat and twisted to the side for Auntie Denise! After all like Auntie says...who can resist a boy with a twisted hat?!?!

Well this blog is kinda short but there will be plenty more to come since Turkey day is this week and then this weekend is our Disneyland trip!!!! Hip hip hooray!!! Hope you all have a great week and a fabulous Thanksgiving!

More pictures

I wasn't able to save all the pictures w/ the last post so here are the rest...

New random pictures

Well I just wanted to update the blog w/ some random pictures of the kids. I thought I was going to have new pictures to post because we had plans on taking the kids to see Thomas the Train. But due to the fires further up the 15 we decided to cancel our plans...boo! So instead we decided to just hang around the house and stay out of the hot Temecula weather. The pictures that I'm posting are the kids just having fun doing whatever they do...

You'll notice the picture of Jayden and Kainoa in their Superman and Spiderman outfits...no these pictures were not taken on Halloween. They like to wear the costumes around the house and fight crime =) And yes Jayden is sitting the sink...silly kid! They were actually looking at themselves in the mirror in front of them. Hmm...wonder where they get that from?

The glasses pictures were taken a few weeks before Halloween. We were shopping for the kids costumes and we came across those nerdy glasses. The boys thought they were pretty funny and it was for sure a Kodak moment!

Kainoa and Jayden LOVE to wrestle so there's another picture of them during Round 1!! I swear they're true boys and will just break out in a wrestling match in the middle of breakfast, lunch, dinner and anytime between! Oh lord what am I going to do when they get older and start breaking stuff with all of their wrestling moves?!?!

But even though they love to wrestle each other they really are the best of friends! The boys are hams for the camera (well depending on when you can catch Jayden he's not always up for pictures) so before bed (anything to avoid bedtime) they wanted to take a picture w/ each other. Please take note of Kainoa's glasses. Those would be Mr. Potato Head glasses.

So yesterday we (or should I say I) cleaned the house. We had to make room in the toy box for more toys because Santa will be here soon! Kainoa was taking a break in the laundry basket and "home base" was his blanket...okay? Jayden was playing his new Hulk game that daddy bought him and of course like a true gamer he could not put the controller down. So needless to say he fell asleep while playing.

Well I hope you like the pictures and I'm sure I'll have lots more to share soon...after all the holidays are right around the corner! Hope you're all doing great and have a wonderful week!

Fall 08

Well I finally joined the blogging world thanks to my friend Kristin. I actually have a lot of friends that blog but I was always at a loss of what I could share that anyone would even remotely be interested in. But I figure for those of you who are interested in peeking in the window to my world here you go...

As everyone knows fall has arrived, although it's hard to tell by all the hot weather we have been having lately. This year the kids had a blast trick-or-treating w/ our friends. I would have to say that it's really the first year that the kids understand the concept of knocking on the door and getting treats. Kainoa was so excited about getting candy that he wanted to go home after 2 houses so that he could dig into the goods IMMEDIATELY. I "thought" that I would have one more year to choose Halloween costumes this year...but I was mistaken! The kids had a superhero theme on their minds and Jayden was Spiderman and Kainoa was Captain America. Well let me correct myself because Kainoa had chosen 3 costumes and finally decided on 1. First he wanted to be Batman so I thought I was doing a good thing and bought the costume early. Well after a few days that costume was old news and he didn't want to be that anymore. Then our 2nd costume was Superman but once he realized that brother (Spiderman) had a mask he didn't want to be that anymore. Finally the night before Halloween we had to run to Target to try and find a costume w/ a mask...thank goodness we found Captain America! Since you can't return Halloween costumes the kids now have a few costumes to wear around the house to play "superhero" with.

I've included a couple of pictures of the kids at Bates Nut Farm. They had a good time climbing on and picking up (and dropping) all of the pumpkins. They also rode the minature horses and had a great time. Daddy was in control of the camera during the horse rides so those pictures didn't make it into the camera...boo! He thought he was taking pictures but he wasn't holding down the button long enough. Oh well, guess there's always next year.

Not sure how often I'll update my blog. Look at me I'm all talk because I swear I don't have anything to say. Lord knows I'll probably update this thing every 5 seconds....haa haa. Thanks for taking a peek into my world. Have a wonderful week!
